What is Conversion Rate Performance?

Conversion Rate Performance measures the share of visitors who complete an action that matters to you, a purchase, a sign-up, a lead form, and tracks how that share moves over time. You can measure it across whichever window is relevant rather than being fixed to a reporting period somebody else chose.

Why track it across timeframes?

A conversion rate on its own is a number without a story. The useful version is comparative. How does this month compare with the same month last year, did the rate move after the redesign shipped, is the launch week genuinely better or just busier. Because Air360 keeps your history rather than expiring it, the comparison you want to make in six months is still available then, and it can be segmented so you are comparing audiences that resemble each other rather than a blended average that describes nobody.

What the first week looks like

Agree what counts as a conversion before reading anything, because half the disagreements about conversion rate are really disagreements about the denominator. Then look at the rate split by device, source and returning against new, rather than at the single headline number. The segment that moves against the average is the one worth investigating, and it is usually invisible in the aggregate that gets reported upward.

Where it fits with the rest

The conversion rate tells you that something changed. It never tells you what. A funnel narrows the change to a step, replays narrow it to a behaviour, and web vitals rule out the possibility that the site simply got slower that week. Reading the rate on its own is how teams end up rebuilding a page that was never the problem.

Everything you need to know

Improving conversion rate involves a continuous process of analysis, hypothesis generation, testing, and implementation. Understand how your conversion rate is performing using Air360's Overview, and find opportunities to optimize with our zoning analysis, session replay.

Yes. You can measure conversion over whichever window is relevant and compare periods against each other. Air360 keeps your history rather than expiring it, so a comparison against last year is still available when you want to make it.
Yes. Conversion can be segmented by device, country, region, traffic source, campaign, and whether visitors are new or returning. A flat site-wide rate usually hides two or three very different stories.
Conversion tells you that something changed. Funnel Analysis shows which step moved, user journeys show where people went instead, and session replays show what they actually encountered. The rate is the starting point rather than the answer.
